I knew Jillian was overweight as a teen but for some reason I never came across Jillian Michaels Before and After photo…until now. I guess this was in a magazine recently and I think it’s the one she showed on The Doctors show.

Either way, it just shows you how much she had to go through to get to where she is today. I’ve been a true fan of hers after I learned about her “softer side” in the Ladie’s Home Journal piece they ran on her. I didn’t know everything about her background in karate and how it helped her deal with a difficult family situation.

No matter what you think of Jillian’s weight loss plan, Jillian Michaels Fat Burner or her methods, anyone can admit that she sure is a force to be reckoned with. Seeing Jillian Michaels Before and After Photo reminds us that she has come a long way.

So the big day is coming closer and you are searching for wedding diets that work and you want to get rid of wedding fat? Maybe you thought the weight would already be gone by now, but the stress and activity of wedding planning might have gotten in the way of your weight loss goals. Here are some wedding diets that work depending on the amount of time you have to get trim, either more than 30 days, less than 30 days, two weeks or one week.

Wedding Diets That Work – More than 30 Days Out

Even if you don’t have the full 90 days, P90X is the way to go if you have more than 30 days to get ready. Nothing is going to kick your butt more in the exercise department except maybe the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred videos. Either one, you will be looking hot on the big day and there will be no wedding fat peeking out of the top or arms of your dress.

Less than 30 Days?

The recommendation for this time span would be doing a plan like the Diet Solution or using Jillian’s website. They are both healthful eating and exercise and you still have enough time to get the results you want. The goal for these diets are keeping your sexy muscles and losing the fat so you will look good. Solid advice and sensible diet.

Wedding Diets that Work – Have Only Two Weeks?

The Lemonade Diet pill is the choice for anyone having 14 days because the product says you can lose up to 17 pounds in this time period. This is the one that Kym Johnson from Dancing With the Stars uses to stay trim. Like the Master Cleanse but you get to eat so you will have the energy you need for those last few days of planning.

Have only One Week?

Tough times call for tough measures. You are going to have to suck it up and do the full Master Cleanse like Beyonce did for her role in Dreamgirls. I would still eat SOMETHING though each day…spinach, apple, walnuts. I mean, you are going to need energy on the big day and don’t want to be depleted. People report getting a burst of energy on this plan but it’s after the first few days of detoxing where the side effects might be headaches, fatigue, constipation. So for this plan, you really have to think about whether or not those pounds are worth it. Otherwise, try the Lemonade Diet Pill and you will at least get half of the weight loss benefit and still get to eat every day. It’s basically the Master cleanse ingredients, lemons, cayenne pepper, grade b maple syrup, but in a pill.

Don’t forget that along with these wedding diets that work on getting rid of wedding fat, you also get a lot of rest leading up to your big day.

On last’s night episode of Losing It With Jillian, tips on cleaning out kitchen to lose weight were featured. Jillian was in the kitchen in her usual style, throwing things and yelling “NO” (which I love) and the family was having a hard time giving up a few items. Canned fruit for one. Cleaning out the kitchen to prepare it for healthy foods to help us lose weight is, I think, one of the biggest challenges we have in the whole process. There are some really concrete things you can look for and do to make the process go smoother.

Tips on Cleaning Out Kitchen to Lose Weight

1). Get help. Before you even learn what you are going to have to throw out, find someone to help you. This will make you accountable and not allow for any “cheating”…(“I am just going to finish that one jar of high fructose corn syrup jelly and then ok, that will be it”).

2). Plan for where the food will go. Is there a food bank you can make donations to? Some people just CANNOT put food in the trash, even if that is what half of it is….But do me a favor will ya? Buy one bag of organic food, or brown rice, or bags of beans, and donate that too?

3). Clean it. This is a great opportunity to get into areas you might not have been in for a while. Clean food deserves a clean place to put it in, so scrub off that juice that was making the refrigerator shelf sticky and get those crumbs out of the spice drawer!

4). Immediately go shopping afterward. (Unless you are planning on doing some sort of cleanse first to kick start the weight loss.) Now, you are probably thinking this is going to be a really expensive process, right? But, actually it shouldn’t be. First, you are just going to buy what you need for one week. You don’t have to buy every piece of organic fruit or every kind of whole grain this or that. Keep it simple for week #1 and you can build on that.

The way I did this was by trying new recipes. Each recipe, there would be one item I would have to get, like a spice I had never tried, or whole wheat bread crumbs for instance, that I could use and then have on hand for later. Before you know it, you have a kitchen stocked with healthy foods that you can’t really mess up in.

5). Now that you have the food you need and your clean, healthy kitchen is ready to go, you will need support to keep you motivated along the way. Recruit your friends to do what you have done. Help them to make the healthy steps you have made. Use things like the forums and boards on Jillian’s website to be accountable. Nothing better than having Jillian on your side pushing you to lose the weight you want. It’s $4 per week, so less than the cost of all those fast food meals you wont be having anymore! Really good tracking stuff in there too.

The link for the specifics of what to throw out and what to keep are below. But…the only one I would add to is the high fructose corn syrup one. Pretty much if it says “sugar” as one of the first 5 ingredients, throw it out. Read my post on high fructose corn syrup vs. table sugar and you’ll see why. Also, the 40-30-30 recommendation from Jillian is pretty much The Zone Diet plan so you might want to read more about that too.

In this Losing It With Jillian Episode 3, June 15 recap, Jillian makes a visit to the May family in Bakersfield, CA.  The usual Jillian coming in and kicking booty intro stuff. But my favorite part was Jillian cleaning out the kitchen. I think this is where a lot of people get stuck, not being able to throw out that jar of mayo even though they can read “High Fructose Corn Syrup” right there on the label. The response is “But it’s just mayo, and it’s fat free mayo!” Fact is, if the label says it’s junk, it’s junk. Here are more tips on cleaning out your kitchen from the NBC.com site. Get some friends to come help you. This will keep you accountable during the process.

Here’s the rest of the Losing It With Jillian recap from June 15…

Ruth and her three children who still live with her, Rachel, Ashley and a son, are struggling with the emotional remnants of a divorce from two years ago. It appears the father is no longer in the picture. The garage filled up with junk reminding us of lasts week’s hoarding situation. Though this time, Jillian holds a big yard sale to clear the house of the clutter and make room for changes.

Ruth challenges Jillian at the dining room table and tells Jillian ” I am filled with hate” (towards Jillian) because she says she didn’t let her go through her things before it was sold. Jillian calls her out on her constantly victimizing herself and that seems to be a big wake up call for Ruth.

The two girls (well one was 25 so not “girls”…young ladies) are really beautiful but each wants to lose some weight too. Jillian takes them to a soccer practice to play the sport they played when their parents were still together. This, for Ashley, is her A-Ha moment as Jillian “Why’s” her to death until she gets to the heart of what is bothering her. She can’t trust anyone because her dad left.

For Rachel…it’s that she is living in the shadow of her mother. Better communication and soon the women are on their way to better family relationships.

The kids sign up mom to an online dating site and she goes on her first date in 30 years!!! Wow! The date was shown for about 2 minutes, seemed ok but don’t know if there were any sparks. Still, at that point, it’s just great to get out there and start meeting people!

Jillian says she is leaving for 8 weeks and everyone states their goals. Ruth wants to lose 20 pounds but Jillian ups it to 40. Ashley wants to get in a size 7 dress and Jillian says, no, size 6. For Rachel, she also wants to lose 40 pounds.

Everyone reaches their goals, and Ruth loses a whooping 74 pounds! (It seemed like that was in the 8 week period but I don’t know because it showed many episodes of her not working out when she was supposed to be). Maybe they were adding up some weight she had lost on her own before Jillian arrived??? 74 pounds is a lot to lose in 8 weeks, but if anyone can make it happen, it’s Jillian.

The Losing It With Jillian show is starting to get a little too predictable at this point. My friend said it is very much like Nanny 911. Same old, same old. Last week, episode 2, was great with the 5K Challenge which we are doing here at BurnFatClub. This week….so so. The biggest take away is that it can be done…at any age and there is always time for a new beginning.

This week’s Losing It With Jillian episode 3 will air tonight, June 15 on NBC. There is a slot change as Jillian is now moving to the Biggest Loser’s slot! So, it will start at 8:00 eastern.

This is an episode I have been waiting for. It’s the one with the lady where I think Jillian will be throwing stuff out of her kitchen.

Jillian visits the May family and it looks like we might have another hoarder on our hands as the preview shows a garage full of stuff and a yard sale.

According to sidereel.com, “A family need a boost toward positive change following a life-altering event. Jillian takes the mom out for a night on the town and then arranges a soccer-based workout for the kids. Later, the family hold a garage sale to clear out space in their home.”

Here is the preview for this week’s Losing It With Jillian Episode 3. Don’t forget if you miss the show on TV, it will be up on www.hulu.com for free. And be sure to come back later tonight for the complete recap and details of the June 15 show HERE.

This is how I got a membership to the Jillian’s Diet Plan Website for less. I signed up for her free weight loss plan, which I received, but I didn’t join the site. It was advertised as $4 per week to join. Still I have been receiving her newsletters for the past week. (Very good newsletters by the way, solid info and there is some Jillian’s plan info in there too). But then today I got a newsletter saying I could join for $3.49 per week. So, a little less. DEAL! Might want to try it out yourself. Either way, the free newsletters are really great but if you really want to join Jillian’s Diet Plan Website, it might be a good idea too.

Jillian MichaelsIn this week’s episode of Losing It with Jillian, 5k racing was a big topic of discussion. For episode 2, Jillian Michaels visits the Jones family in Massachusetts. Debra the mom, is struggling after the death of her husband from a heart attack and raising two kids on her own. Her house is a mess as Debra seems to have “checked out” from life feeling overwhelmed.

It starts out with all the usual yelling and typical Jillian emotional breakthroughs we have come to expect, but my favorite part of the show is when Jillian takes Debra to the track (here’s a clip or the full episode) to train to run her first 5K. Jillian, 5K, what? I wasn’t sure Debra was going to be able to do it.

Turns out that Debra’s boss runs a 5K every weekend and her coworkers run after work each day. With their support and motivation, Debra hoped to also run a 5K. The boss shows up and gets Debra started right away on a sound plan of running 60 seconds, walking 90 seconds.

This was a great Losing It With Jillian episode for me because I remember my first 5K and I have blogged about  5K tips as a beginner and what to expect. Turns out that a few weeks later, despite knee injuries, Debra is able to complete her first 5K in front of Jillian and had lost 32 pounds! What a huge accomplishment for a woman who has been through so much. My personal 5K numbers from races I have done hang on my bathroom wall and remind me every day of what I can do. There is just nothing like signing up for a race, training for it and completing it.

Where to Find Losing It With Jillian 5k Tips

During the commercial, Jillian said to go to her website to learn more about 5k tips, training, getting healthy and losing weight. Here is how I got a cheaper offer to join. There is really nothing better than having her on your side pushing you to get it done and you are going to need the support, trust me. Just sign up for free to get your weight loss plan and check out the Success Stories too.  You can get the From Sedentary to 5k plan here.

To be eligible for the 5K Challenge with Prizes, Don’t forget to also join Burn Fat Club to the right—> Or HERE. Sign up and get your free Workbook that you can use with any weight loss plan. Measurement tracking, shopping lists, meal planner, it’s all in there for you to download and use for FREE!

The Losing It With Jillian 5K episode I am sure will go down as one of my favorites.

If you are thinking of doing some hiking for fat burning or hiking to lose weight, you are onto something good. Hiking is an excellent exercise that people at most levels of physical ability can do. Here is how to start and some basics.

1) Find your trail. Start with your state’s parks and see what they have to offer first. Usually online parks will show maps of different trails and explain their level of difficulty. Afterall, the last thing the park wants is someone stranded on a trail so they really try to keep the public informed about what to expect. Trails can be as small as .25 miles and as long as …. well, really long (Appalachian Trail), so consider whatever distance you are currently walking and aim for a little LESS than that. Remember, with trails, it’s not a nice flat surface. There are rocks and tree roots and lots of things for your feet and brain to navigate so it is a bit tougher than just walking around your neighborhood. Also take into account the inclines that might occur on a trail. Some parks have relatively flat trails while others mimic the interval setting on your treadmill…up, down, up, down, etc.

2) What to Bring. Here is a short list of things you will want to take with you on your hike. Sunscreen, sunglasses, extra pair of socks, water, granola bar or energy bar, hat, matches in a plastic baggy (I have watched too many of those survivor shows on TV!), a few Advil or Tylenol, small camera (stop and enjoy the scenery), chafing stick, a few sheets of toilet paper (in case you are going to be far from facilities).Wear long pants and long sleeves if it isn’t too hot to keep away insects and things like poison ivy. Otherwise, stay clear of the brush and plants and use some insect repellent. You might like a walking stick or some hiking poles too.

3) Follow the Leader. Don’t go alone.

4) Read the info signs for the trail. Know which animals to be on the lookout for. The trails in my state have some poisonous snakes which I have never come across but it’s good to know the good ones from the bad just in case.

5) Incorporate some jogging to your hiking. I sometimes jog on the uphill portions if there are no rocks or nothing I can trip on. This increases my heart rate and really pushes my body to work hard. Climb on the rocks like you did when you were a kid. You will be amazed the next morning when you feel the muscles you haven’t used in years burning. Take it easy though, don’t overdo it your first time out.

6) Have fun! You are with friends and enjoying nature and the fresh air. You will probably forget you are even doing exercise. This is the best part about hiking for fat burning and hiking to lose weight!

This was on So You Think You Can Dance (SYTYCD) tonight featuring Bryan Gaynor doing his robot to the song “Fireflies”. It was one of the most amazing and inspirational things I have ever seen and I wanted to share it. Sometimes when we are trying to lose weight, we think it can’t be done so I am always searching for inspirational stories where people overcome whatever their obstacles are. Bryan is an excellent dancer who hopes to never be in so much pain that he can’t dance anymore. You see, Bryan has scoliosis, a disease which affects the curvature of the spine and can be very painful. Bryan is a reminder that greatness can be achieved no matter the obstacle. Enjoy…

You have all probably heard of the 60 year old master cleanse lemonade diet, also referred to as the lemonade cleanse or lemonade detox. After all, several celebrities including Liv Tyler and Beyonce have used versions of it to drop weight quickly.

So What is the Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet?

The original diet required drinking a mixture of lemons, cayenne pepper and maple syrup for 10 days. Does not sound too appealing does it? Well now there is great news that the lemonade diet is now available in pill form to make it easier for everyone to take advantage of it’s weight loss effects.

Do you have an important event coming up and you are searching for one of the best ways  lose weight fast? Maybe it’s a wedding, a reunion or a hot date at the beach? You want to look your best and don’t have a lot of time to do it in? Whatever the reason, there is a new way to lose weight fast using a tried and true method that is much more doable than it used to be.

Best Ways Lose Weight Fast – Up to 17 Pounds in 14 Days

Now you can do the traditional lemonade cleanse, or master lemonade cleanse as it is sometimes referred to, without having to drink all of those yucky drinks. Now there is a Lemonade Diet in pill form which takes all the ingredients of the original cleanse and puts them in a pill. Lemons, cayenne pepper and maple syrup have qualities that make them a great weight loss combination that have been used by such stars as Beyonce, Liv Tyler and Kym Johnson from Dancing With The Stars (she won with Donny Osmond last season). A lot of celebrities know the master cleanse diet is one of the best ways lose weight fast for the red carpet. But now instead of drinking your way to fat loss, you take the pills and follow the eating plan for 14 days and you can lose up to 17 pounds! Now the benefits from this celebrity diet are available to everyone to drop weight fast when you need a boost.

One of the great things about it though is you get to eat while still getting the effects of cleansing. By following the designed eating plan, you can maximize the weight loss and not starve yourself for two weeks. This ensures that you will be losing fat and not the muscle you want to keep.

The recommendation is to do this diet or lemonade detox every two months to maintain a healthy weight. In addition to weight loss, users of cleanses report having more energy, better digestion and clearer skin. I think these benefits make the new Lemonade Diet one of the best ways lose weight fast.

Do you wish that like “Losing It – Jillian,” Jillian would come charging through your door, throw out the junk in your house and whip your butt into shape? Think you can’t do it on your own? Well, with the new show “Losing It With Jillian” having just started, now is a great time to get involved in your health and start making some changes just like they do on the show!

First, you need Jillian Michaels. You can either join her website and get all sorts of training there or you can order a Jillian Michaels DVD to workout to at home. Either way, there is just something about her that really connects with people and makes her products very effective.

Maybe you want to do the Jillian Michaels cleanse when you start for a boost. Sometimes it’s just great to hit the ground running and clean the body up as quick as possible. For me, it’s like detox that alcoholics do when they quit drinking. Sugar and alcohol basically do the same thing to your liver so it’s great to start with a clean slate.

Next, you do need to toss the junk out of your house. Sugar, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Fat, Candies, Cookies, Chips, White Bread, White Rice, all of it. In these tough economic times though, how can you get rid of all of that food? I mean, half the reason we are probably so fat is because we don’t want to waste food. I know, this is a tough one. BUT, think of the cost to your health if you keep it around. Hospital bills alone will cost way more than tossing out a bit of food. And anything not opened, definitely take to your local food bank! Just know you can’t have it around. If it’s in the house, it’s a temptation.

Then, hit the grocery store to stock up on what you REALLY need, good healthy nutritious foods that can heal your body and help you recover from the crap it’s been getting for so long. So fruits and vegetables (pick frozen if you are worried about things “going bad”), whole grains, beans, and lean meats like chicken and fish. Find a few recipes online that you would like to try (I love the Biggest Loser Family Cookbook) and discover some healthy dishes that actually taste really good! For snacks, thy Laughing Cow cheese wedges with celery or Endangered Species Dark Chocolate with Deep Forest Mint are yummy (no more than one square per day, you can do it!).

Now it’s time to watch the show! Tuesday nights on NBC at 10 pm you can watch Jillian change people’s lives. Tune in to Losing It – Jillian and make some changes in your own life too!
